The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is consolidating changing the way the Universal Service Fund (USF) fee assessed on all wireless carriers. This change would mean that each NET10 customers could pay almost $1.00 or more per month, even if the customer used little or no long distance service during the month. Prepaid wireless already pays its fair share into the USF, but the $1.00 fee would increase NET10'S USF taxes by 1,600 percent!
At NET10 Wireless, we support reasonable fees for USF, which is used to support affordable phone service for rural, inner-city and other low-income persons. But if you agree that a 1,600 percent increase in the USF fee would be unfair to you, or if you cannot afford higher airtime charges, you should tell the FCC directly how you feel about this proposal. We encourage you to click the link below and follow the easy steps to send a prewritten letter to the FCC and elected Government officials- or create your own. The choice is yours! Take Action NOW!
